We are saddened to share that long time Faith in Place community member, Rev. William Kyle, passed away last month. We invite you to join the Faith in Place community in celebrating Rev. William Kyle's life and his work with Faith in Place. If you didn't know Rev. Kyle, we are honored to share about the impact he had on our community below.

Faith in Place wants to take a moment to celebrate the life of Rev. William Kyle and all he did for the community and youth. Rev. William served as the Eco-Ambassador Youth Coordinator at Faith in Place in Chicago, IL. He was an essential part of creating the program that we see today that supports youth leaders and empowers youth to take action for their communities. He carried his passion for mentoring and working with youth throughout the US, as well as in Jamaica and Southern Africa.

Faith in Place has renamed our youth scholarship fund to the Rev. William and Veronica Kyle Scholarship Fund. This fund provides scholarship opportunities and a platform for Eco-Ambassador alumni interested in becoming environmental justice advocates and professionals. This scholarship aims to support Eco-Ambassador alumni entering their junior or senior year of college with a. declared major/minor or concentration in environmental studies.
