what′s new : Central IL Office starts with orientation in Chicago - February 23, 2010
After months of anticipation, I have arrived at Faith in Place! In late January I began this journey by going to Chicago for a week of orientation. Those first view days were busy reading strategic materials, participating in informational meetings and phone conferences, getting to know the wonderful staff, and developing a 90 day start up plan for the Central Illinois Office. By the end of the week, I not only had a clear understanding of all the ins and outs and nuances of Faith in Place’s numerous programs, but also a clear vision for accomplishing Faith in Place’s goals in central Illinois.
Since orientation, I have been busy spreading the news in central Illinois that this new office has opened. I have been met with much enthusiasm, and partner congregations here are starting to develop. I have already scheduled a couple of "Ten Tips for Greening Your Congregation" presentations at local congregations.
As things continue to develop, I plan to keep posting in this news feed on the activities of the Central Illinois Office, so stay tuned!
Brian
