“I can hear from the whisper of the winds the sound of Thy glorification and praise and can recognize in the murmur of the waters the voice that proclaimeth Thy virtues and Thine attributes, and can apprehend from the rustling of the leaves the mysteries that have been irrevocably ordained by Thee in Thy realm. ” ~The Baha'u'llah (the Glory of God) sacred scriptures of the Baha'i

Faith in Place invites you to learn what it takes to have a cutting-edge program of environmental care! Send a team from your congregation to Evanston (April 23) or Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood (May 21) and learn to design a complete environmental ministry for your congregation. These events are modeled after our successful interfaith workshops at Northbrook’s mosque last year.

We'll have workshops on solar, wind, and geothermal energy... the coal versus nuclear debate... eating as an ethical act... the Illinois legislative agenda... worship resources... natural landscaping... and congregational best practices.

Our presenters include staff from the Environmental Law & Policy Center, Sierra Club, CSA Learning Center at Angelic Organics, Openlands, Solar Service, Inc., Architectural Consulting Engineers, and State Representative Julie Hamos. Please join us!
