past events : Diversity in Environmental Justice Advocacy discussion
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” ~Revelation 22:1-2

The Illinois Environmental Council and Faith in Place are holding a series of small-group discussions around Environmental Justice legislation. Some of the questions we'll be discussing: How does environmental justice and/or injustice impact you and your community? What are the solutions? What can our community do to address these issues?
Finally, we'll discuss how can we together cultivate representatives from all communities to support our advocacy efforts in Springfield and beyond.
