past events : The next clergy cafe

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” ~Revelation 22:1-2

All clergy are welcome to join the clergy cafe, a wandering feast of conversation and collegiality sponsored by Faith in Place. The next conversation will be hosted by the Rev. Jesse Knox III at the Church of the Good Shepherd, and we'll be discussing a wonderful book by Barbara Holmes called Race and the Cosmos; an invitation to see the world differently. Barbara Holmes suggests that new understandings of the universe can help us to create new, inclusive origin stories for ourselves. The conversation should be rich, and the lunch is always good. Let Clare know if you plan to attend, so we're sure to have a lunch on hand for you.
