past events : Conversation for Clergy
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” ~Revelation 22:1-2
Thursday, November 20, 2008 / 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The clergy cafe is an ongoing conversation among clergy of different faiths. Lately we've been talking about the good life - what it means and how to live one in the city. We've also been talking about sustainable farming and how congregations can support it. And we're even thinking about ways to get our own hands a little dirty as we support local farms and learn more about the food system as an ethical problem.
All clergy are welcome to join us for these gatherings. Please let us know you're coming so we have a lunch for you. The venue changes, but this one will be at Epiphany Episcopal Church at the corner of Ashland and Adams in Chicago.
