Join Faith in Place staff and board members at this national town hall meeting on the federal budget. AmericaSpeaks is a national non-profit that has developed a format for large group conversations, and the national town hall meeting on the budget will convene hundreds of people in many locations across the country to learn together from non-partisan experts on the economy about the structural deficits our federal budget is facing, and how we might choose to address them as a nation. Then there will be facilitated small-group discussion and polling of each participant, to generate a thougtful non-partisan consensus about how we should approach the state of our national economy.

We think these issues will have a profound impact on our ability to advance an environmental agenda in the future, so we think this opportunity is a good one for our partners to take part in. Registration is required to attend, though the meeting is free.
