“Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people upon it and spirit to those who walk in it: I am the Lord, I have called you in righteousness, I have taken you by the hand and kept you.” ~Isaiah 42:5-6a

Join the Southeast Environmental Task Force for the 2nd tour in our series of OFF THE BEATEN PATH ECO-TOURS. Let us show you why the South Side was known as the home of Mt. Trashmore. See how the years of dumping household, hazardous, and construction waste have impacted the surrounding communities. You'll also see dumps that have been repurposed and that produce energy. Discover the natural areas that border them and see how they have be-come important wildlife habitat.
The cost of the tour including bus accommodation and lunch at a local establishment is $40 per person and advance registration is required. Bus departs from the Cultural Center at Randolph and Michigan in Downtown Chicago. To register call 773-646-0436 or go to www.setaskforce.blogspot.com.
