Fracking Bill Passes House Committee!
Thanks in part to the diverse group of over 75 people from Faith in Place participating in our annual environmental lobby trip to Springfield, the fracking regulatory bill is moving again and just passed the IL House Executive Committee. Read more...

Religious Congregations Lead on Fracking Bill
High volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is coming to southern Illinois. Our partner congregations are not excited about this prospect, due to the water, air, and land damage done by fracking in other states.Because of this concern, Faith in Place has been working for the last 3 years to get the best legislation possible passed in our State Legislature to protect communities in southern IL.
