Registration open for environmental leadership certification
Faith in Place is very pleased to partner with McCormick Seminary on a new Certificate in Environmental Ministry and Leadership. This certificate program will be offered for the first time beginning in August of 2010. The goal of the certificate program is to equip pastors and leaders of religious and nonprofit groups to take leadership roles in addressing the ecological challenges of the world and in the communities where they minister. Evanston congregations are taking part in a campaign to replace 1,250 incandescent exit signs with super-efficient LEDs. This Earth Day, the Business Alliance for a Sustainable Evanston (“BASE”) launched “Exit Signs for Evanston,” a simple opportunity to save money, reduce energy consumption, and enjoy brighter, safer exit signs.
